' × 8'	150 × 240 cm	Living room — front legs of sofa on the rug
' × 9'	180 × 270 cm	Dining table for 4–6
' × 10'	240 × 300 cm	Large living room, most furniture on the rug
' × 12'	270 × 360 cm	All furniture fully on the rug
' × 14'	300 × 420 cm	Grand, open-plan rooms
Runners 2'6" × 6–10'	75 × 180–300 cm	Hallways, kitchens, beside the bed
