For a 9' × 12' living room, choose an 8' × 10' rug to anchor your seating area with the front legs of all furniture on the rug. Larger rooms (12' × 15' and up) look best with a 9' × 12' or 10' × 14'. Don't see your perfect size? We make every rug custom — your exact dimensions, no upcharge.

Yes — every IndiaLiving rug is handcrafted by master weavers in the loom-towns of Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Panipat, and Jaipur. We work directly with artisan families using traditional techniques passed down through generations: hand-knotting, flat-weaving, hand-tufting, and hand-loomed jute. Nothing is mass-produced.
How long does shipping take?
In-stock rugs ship within 2 business days and arrive in 7–14 days worldwide via DHL or FedEx with tracking. Custom-made rugs take 4–6 weeks to weave plus shipping. Shipping is free worldwide on every order, no minimum.
Do you offer custom sizes and designs?
Yes — we make rugs to order in any size, colour, or material. Start your custom rug with a 3-minute questionnaire, or send your room dimensions and reference images via WhatsApp or online@india-living.com. We'll send a free design mockup and quote within 24 hours.
How do I clean and care for handwoven rugs?
Vacuum weekly without the beater bar. Spot-clean spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent — never rub. Rotate the rug 180° every 6 months to even out wear. Wool rugs benefit from professional cleaning every 2–3 years; jute rugs should not be wet-cleaned (use a dry brush instead).
What is your return policy?
We offer 30-day returns on all in-stock rugs. If a rug doesn't suit your space, contact us within 30 days of delivery for a free return label and full refund. Custom-made rugs are non-returnable since they're woven specifically for you — but we always send a digital mockup before production for your approval.
